TMA wins 10 medals at Atlanta Open

T.M.A. Tae Kwon Do School took home 10 medals at the 2010 Atlanta Open. The school brought home nine gold and one silver.

Winning at Disney

T.M.A. Olympic Tae Kwon Do School in Fayetteville competed in the sparring division of the 2009 Disney Wide World of Sports tournament. Eleven athletes from T.M.A. competed and returned with nine golds, one silver and one bronze. Gold medal winners were Eduardo Naranjo (5), John Naranjo (9), Matthew Todd (8), Lizzie Todd (8), David Collins (9), Edgar Sarmiento (9), Angel Ramos (10), Tommy Zarate (12) and Javaune Powell (16).

Participating in the 29th Junior Olympic Tae Kwon Do Championships in Austin, Texas, T.M.A. captured three golds, three silvers and a bronze. Athletes taking home medals in the world champion division were Jasmine Clark (gold), Simone Harris (gold) and Darren Mitchell (silver). Athletes in the junior champion division that brought home medals were Matthew D.

Goal Setting for Better Grades Seminar

Martial Arts America in Newnan is offering a free “Goal Setting for Better Grades Seminar” for children ages 4 and older.
The Goal Setting for Better Grades Seminar is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8 and 15 starting at 11:45 a.m. at Martial Arts America in Newnan. This seminar will be interactive.

Wojcik continues his assault in California

Derek Wojcik, 17, a rising senior at Sandy Creek High School, traveled across the country to San Francisco Calif. to compete at the U.S.J.F National Judo tournament. After capturing the Bronze medal at the Presidents Cup, Wojcik continued his assault by capturing a silver medal at the J.F nationals in the open division.

Wojcik is no stranger to the podium as he placed gold or silver in the three national tournaments he traveled to last year.

Presenting Peachtree City Karate for Kids 2009 ATA State Champions

It has been a productive tournament year for Peachtree City Karate for Kids. For the seventh year in a row Karate for Kids has produced state champions in Tae Kwon Do.

Ippon Judo wins tournament title in PTC

spor_ippon judo wins ptc tournament.jpegFor the third consecutive time, the Ippon Judo team won its own tournament in a dominating fashion almost doubling the points of second place Lavonia Judo. To make it even more impressive Ippon Judo had only seven competitors competing while some teams entered as many as 12 to 14.

The competition was held March 21 at the Kedron Center in Peachtree City.

Three from Ippon Judo win lots of medals

While Ippon Judo, Jujitsu and Karate only brought three competitors to the University of Tennessee on Nov. 22, they walked away with a staggering nine medals; all three competitors shineed in the tournament.
