Summit Family YMCA Titans celebrate a successful summer swimming season
The Summit Family YMCA Titans swim team held their end of the season banquet on Aug. 1. The team voiced their appreciation for corporate donations from BJ’s, Walmart and La Hacienda and are looking forward to many more sponsors for the upcoming season.
SCAT swims well at state, boys win again, girls place third
Southern Crescent Aquatic Team had 24 swimmers qualify and attend the Georgia Swimming Senior State Meet in Athens, Ga. SCAT team members competing were Kristen Bates, Ari Berg, Kristen Bohrer, Jack Beall, Missy Beall, Tony Beall, Mark Buck, Bailey Cartwright, Sydney Cartwright, Noah Copeland, Sydney Currenti, Keaton Hannon, Alex Harmon, Katie Haycraft, David Menchinger, Alex Menke, Chris Moroz, Kiersten Mossburg, Adam Otaki, Zach Payne, Morgan Presley, Jim Roddenbery, Lauren Scott, Alec Vazquez and Jamie Wright.
SCAT sends swimmers to state meet
Southern Crescent Aquatic Team (SCAT) had the following swimmers compete in the Age Group State Meet:
SCAT sets records at meet in Tallahassee
Southern Crescent Aquatic Team traveled just south of the state line to compete in the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club (ATAC) Invitational. This was SCAT’s largest meet of the season, with teams competing from all over the southeastern states, including the local FSU swimmers.
Sharks swim well in second season
The Whitewater Creek Sharks swim team has finished their second season. They are the newest in the Peachtree City Summer Swim League which also meant the smallest team, yet many of these 47 Sharks walked away winning their events.
PTC Pirates compete in first swim meet of summer

As the summer is quickly passing us by, the Pirates had their first swim meet of the season. The swimmers were excited. The coaches were full of anticipation. The families were spirited. It was a wonderful swim meet for everyone.
There were two new records set last Thursday night at the meet: Caroline Cameron broke the 25 breast record and Courtney Bond broke the 50 fly record.
Call for nominations for Fayette County Swimmer of the Year and the Fayette County Swimming Hall of Fame
Swimming is a “life sport” that is enjoyed by over two million people of all ages and abilities.
Lady Panthers and Chiefs do well at state swim meet
Starr’s Mill’s girls placed third in the Class A-AAAA state swimming and diving meet. McIntosh placed 20th and Landmark Christian placed 35th.
McIntosh Boys Swim Team finishes 5th in State and Girls finish 20th
A successful swim season comes to a close as the McIntosh boys State swim team comprised of: (Alex Harmon, Adam Otaki, Jim Roddenbery, Jack Beall, Marcus Burk, Andy Lucak, Chase Simmons, Lukas Love, David Liow, Ethan Williams, Theo Lefebvre, Shane Luckey, Evan Novelly) placed 5th in the state. While the girls State swim team comprised of : (Ari Berg, Ariane Leblond, Anna Beard, Sarah Trapaga, Allison Gair, Erika Barrett, Kaitlin Rassett, Cailin O'Brien, Cara Ludwick, Sarah Manley, Taylor Day, Sadie Mason) placed 20th.
Starr's Mill swims to another county title

Starr’s Mill won the county swimming championships last Thursday night with the girls taking first with 340 points and the boys taking third with 201.
