Starr's Mill wins 12th straight county swim title
The Starr’s Mill boys and girls swim teams each won their half of the county swimming championship and combined for the overall title.
McIntosh swimmers win Clayton County Winter Invitational
McIntosh High School Swim Team took 1st place overall of 17 high schools in Clayton County’s Winter Invitational on January 14th. Starr’s Mill High School finished 2nd, Whitewater High School finished 4th, Our Lady of Mercy finished 7th, and Fayette County High School finished 15th in the meet.
McIntosh swimmers who placed in the top 5 were:
Boys 200 Yd Medley Relay: 1st, Machmehl, Novelly, Chang, Koellner
Girls 200 Yd Medley Relay: 1st, Schmid, Smith, Bond, Barrett
Boys 200 Yd Freestyle: 4th, Theo Lefebvre
Girls 200 Yd Freestyle: 2nd, Claren Anderson
McIntosh takes third in meet at Clayton pool
McIntosh High School Swim Team placed 3rd overall of 19 high schools in the Clayton County’s “Comin’ to Town” Invitational on January 7.

The Southern Crescent Water Polo team (6-1) is comprised of high school players from schools across Fayette County.

The Southern Crescent Water Polo team has started off the season with a 6-1 record. The team is comprised of high school players from schools across Fayette County. Most of the team swim competitively with the Southern Crescent Aquatic Team.
Beall and Presley win individual swim titles, other locals finish in top 15
At the Georgia State Swimming and Diving Championships, McIntosh’s Jack Beall defended his Class A-AAAA state title in the 100 backstroke and nabbed a second place finish in the 100 fly.
Whitewater swims well at quad meet
Last Wednesday night, Jan. 19, Whitewater swimmers dominated in the pool winning a quad meet held at Clayton County.

Starr’s Mill (SMHS) won the county swim meet on Friday for the 11th straight year with both the boys and girls teams taking first place.
Local swimmers do well in Georgia Senior State Swimming Championships
Members of the Southern Crescent Aquatic Team competed in the Georgia Senior State Swimming Championships last weekend. There were several swimmers who did very well at the competition.
Alex Menke is the Georgia Senior State Champ in both the 200 yd. fly and the 1650 yd. free. He also placed 6th in the 500 yd free.
Jack Beall placed 3rd in the 100 yd. fly.
Ari Berg placed 2nd in the 100 yd. breast and 10th in the 200 yd. breast
Morgan Presley placed 4th in the 100 yd. breast and 4th in the 200 yd. breast
Whitewater takes seventh at Clayton swim meet
Whitewater High School participated in the Coming to Town" Invitational meet held in Clayton County this past weekend and placed 7th overall out of the 32 teams participating.
