Since 2009, Sandy Creek has tried to prove otherwise. They won two state titles and 41 straight games. Their amazing run came to an end tonight in Gainesville. The Patriots lost 35-21.
Gainesville built a 14 point lead early into the second half, but the Patriots bounced back with a 15 yard touchdown run from CJ Washington and a 2 yard touchdown run from Mike Hilton.
Feeling elite - Creek and Landmark make quarterfinals
The Sandy Creek Patriots did not score on their first possession in their Class AAA second round state playoff game, but they did get two Mike Hilton touchdowns in the first quarter (4 yd td run and 2 yd td run) on their way to a 42-14 win over the Troup Tigers.

The Sandy Creek Patriots were in control of their state playoff game against Butler from the kickoff. Eric Swinney returned the opening kick 90 yards for a touchdown and the Patriots never trailed. They didn’t give up any points until late in the third quarter when the clock was constantly running because the Patriots were up by 55 points.
Landmark wins sixth cross country title, McIntosh's Hort AAAA boys champ
The Landmark Christian School girls won the Class A cross country championship at Carrollton last Saturday. It was their sixth cross country title in school history and their first since 2007.
