Lacrosse playoffs start tonight

The state lacrosse playoffs get underway and several local teams are involved.

McIntosh’s Lady Chiefs host Blessed Trinity, while Whitewater hosted Wesleyan and Starr’s Mill played at West Forsyth tonight. If the local teams won, they will advance to the quarterfinals on Friday. With a win, McIntosh would host the winner of Holy Innocents and Lakeside, Evans, while Whitewater would face the winner of Westminster and Decatur and Starr’s Mill would play at the winner of St. Pius X and Riverwood.

On the boys side, McIntosh hosts Blessed Trinity tomorrow at 7 p.m. and the winner will meet the winner of Westminster and Lakeside, Evans on Saturday. Starr’s Mill plays at Lambert and would meet the winner of Decatur and Darlington on Saturday with a win.
