Where does Georgia really stand?

I am writing this before the Georgia/Florida game, so things will probably look clearer after Saturday, but where does Georgia stand?

Yes, they looked awful against Alabama and great against LSU, but are they a national championship caliber team? They certainly have the talent and, if they beat Florida, they should have a clear path to a rematch against Bama in the SEC title game.

So what then? Would a win make them the creme de la creme of the SEC and would it be good enough for a title shot? Or will USC or Penn State take the slot, even though their schedules are decidedly inferior.
