Local brothers compete for state free throw titles

Brandon Toro, an 8th grader at Whitewater Middle School and his younger brother, Drew, a 5th grader at Spring Hill Elementary, won the local and district levels of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Tournament.

This advanced them to compete for the state title at Phillips Arena on Mar. 21.  Brandon won second place in the 13 year old level and Drew won fifth place in the 10 year old level.  This was the third year that Brandon has made it to the state level.  This was the first year that Drew was able to compete. 

There were over 300 participants from all over the state that made it to the state level in the tournament. Photo/Special.
