Though the 2009-2010 season didn't end well for the teams from Fayette County High School, there is good news from current players as well as some players from last year's squad.

Adam Smith, a junior guard for Fayette County High School this season, was selected to play in the Georgia North/South All-Star basketball game in Savannah this Saturday. Smith was also selected to the Naismith All-Metro Atlanta Team. He will be recognized at a banquet in Atlanta on Tuesday, March 23. Smith is being recruited by several Division 1 basketball teams, including UGA.

Noel Johnson, a FCHS Alumnus from 2009, is playing in the NCAA Division 1 basketball championship, for Clemson, on Friday (3/19) at 2:35 p.m. vs. Missouri.

Addison Flynn, a FCHS Alumnus also from 2009, is playing in the NJCAA Division 1 basketball championship, for Walters State (located in Tennessee). Flynn led his team with 17 points in a win last night vs Conner State, the fourth ranked team. Flynn and his team will play again tonight in the quarterfinals against the second ranked Highland,Tx. team. The game will be on njcaa.org/tv.tonight at 9:30 p.m.
