Flat Rock boys tops Booth for middle school basketball championship
Flat Rock Middle School has added another county championship to its list of accomplishments.
After winning the football championship earlier in the school year, the Flat Rock boys basketball team claimed the same bragging rights recently. The Eagles rocked to a 40 to 37 win over Booth Middle School to claim the championship. Flat Rock high scorers included Demarre Kitt (16 pts), Broderick Allen (10 pts), Phillip Cofer (8 pts) and Kenny Lewis (6 pts).
"I'm very proud of this team," said Coach Matt Foley. "They fought hard all season long and never gave up. They had a goal at the start of the season and they worked together to make it happen. I couldn't be prouder of this group of athletes."
Team members include Kenny Lewis, Brandon Lindsey, Elijah Adams, Christia Sekellick, Demarre Kitt, Ryan Warrior, Timothy Dyche, David Dixon, Broderick Allen, Phillip Cofer and Idris Erinjogunola. Team managers are Nigel Crawford and Andrew Foley. Photo/Special.
