Whitewater boys get area lacrosse win

The Whitewater varsity boys lacrosse team picked up a 10-6 win on Wednesday.  It was their first area win of the season.

Leading the defense was goalie Doke Massa with 11 saves and a near 70 percent save percentage.  Midfielder Brandon Lee had a team-high six ground balls and added one goal and one assist on the night.  Attackman Ben Hester led all scorers with four goals and one assist.  Midfielder Blake Jaurigue won five key face offs and scored two goals. Attackmen Michael Pigg, Matt Zerkus and Ryan Simmons each scored a goal while midfielders Evan Kilgore and Will Zerkus both had an assist.

Tomorrow night the Whitewater boys host the top ranked team in the state, Lovett, at 5:30 p.m.
