McIntosh JV wrestlers have a successful break

The McIntosh Junior Varsity wrestling team had a productive Christmas break successfully participating in two challenging tournaments with many quality teams and opponents.

Multiple medalists include Justin Durden who won the 160 pound weight class at both the Pike County Tournament at Pike County High School on December 19th and South Metro JV tournament on January 2nd at Henry County High School.

Javier Granado earned a first place at Pike County and 4th at the JV South Metro at 103 pounds.Matt Nastasi took 4th at South Metro at 112 pounds. Pike County silver medalists included Pablo Bermudez at 119, Joseph Kelly at 145, Sebastian Ferguson at 189, and Zachary Hunt atheavyweight. Finally, Seth Sitzman earned a bronze medal at 215 pounds and Brian Mcelwee placed fourth at heavyweight.
