Patriots crush Vikings on basketball court

Sandy Creek’s boys took on Northgate on Tuesday and won 67-27. The Patriots were led by Emerson Williams’ 14 points and six rebounds, while Brandon Hopkins led Northgate with 12.

Sandy Creek had a 15-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and then outscored the Vikings 20-8 in the second quarter. The dominance continued in the second half as Sandy Creek’s defense held Northgate to 13 points. Zach Smith of the Patriots contributed nine points and seven rebounds in the win.

Sandy Creek hosts McIntosh Friday and plays at Whitewater Saturday. Northgate plays at Douglas County Friday and hosts Banneker Saturday.
