Whitewater swims well at Clayton meet

Whitewater’s boys swim team took first in the Clayton County Invitational.

The meet featured 23 teams and 600 swimmers.
Top finishers were:

Alex Menke 1st in 200 free 1:49.58; 1st in 500 free 4:43.41

Patrick Loeffler 5th 100 fly; 7th 100 breast

Jaron Beckwith 1st 100 fly; 3rd 100 back

Alex Todd 6th 50 free; 6th 100 free

Ben Starkey 5th 200 IM

Vishnu Iyengar 5th 100 breast; 8th 200 IM

Adam Lawrence 5th 200 free; 6th 500 free

3rd Men’s “A”200 Medley Relay (J. Bekwith, A. Menke, B. Starkey, A. Todd)

7th Men’s “B” 200 Medley Relay (P. Loeffler, V. Iyengar, A. Lawrence, S. Gittins)

2nd Men’s 200 Free Relay (V. Iyengar, E. Ashley, S. Gittins, P. Loeffler)

2nd Men’s 400 Free Relay (A. Menke, B. Starkey, A. Todd, J. Beckwith)

The Whitewater girls took seventh in the meet. Their top finishers were:
Kristen Bohrer 3rd 100 breast; 4th 100 free

6th Women’s “A” 200 Medley Relay (J. Heimann, K. Bohrer, M. Beckwith, E. Starkey)

5th Women’s “A” 200 Free Relay (J. Heimann, E. Starkey, M. Beckwith, K. Bohrer)

Overall, Whitewater finished fifth.
