The Mustangs tied their first game against the Henry County Sharks 1-1 in the early morning. In the afternoon the Mustangs won their second game 2-1 against another Henry County team, the Dolphins.

The Mustangs secured a berth in the championship game with a Sunday morning win against Upson County U12 Girls, with a score of 7-2 and a tie for first place going into the championship game.

The Mustangs faced off again against the Henry County Sharks for the Championship match, a very strong team from McDonough.
The Sharks had won the Kohl’s Cup the prior weekend. After a very hard fought game in the driving rain, the Mustangs won on a 5-2 score for the championship.

The Mustangs relied on Tajah Damm as goalie, and rotated Alyssia Arjun, Anna Barcala, Amber Booker, Madeline Hamill, Kayla Loyd, Madison Melo, Julia Needham, Brelyn Parker, Alison Shiraef, and Alexa Yanar in the field.

The Sharks Scored first on a sharp low strike, Alexa tied the game on a slipped ball by their goalie. Brelyn scored on a fine shot, and Alison scored the third Tyrone goal on a penalty kick off a hand ball. The Sharks scored again on another penalty kick, off a Tyrone hand ball, and then Alexa scored the final two goals to secure the game off centering crosses by Madison.

The team is led by Ed Barcala, head coach and Debra Arjun, assistant coach.
