If you enjoyed all five county high schools facing off against each other in all sports, you'll have to hope for some non-region contests in the 2010-2011 athletic season.

Region athletic re-alignments have been set by the GHSA and Sandy Creek has dropped from Class AAAA to Class AAA.

The Patriots will now play in Region 4-AAA along with Drew, Eagles Landing, Eastside, Henry County, Jackson, Locust Grove, Spalding and Stockbridge.

Fayette County, McIntosh, Starr’s Mill and Whitewater will play in Region 3-AAAA, divison B with Griffin, Northgate and Upson Lee. Divison A of region 3-AAAA will be Alcovy, Dutchtown, Jones County, Union Grove, Ola and Woodland, Stockbridge.

Landmark Christian and Our Lady of Mercy will now play in Region 7, subregion B with Ben Franklin, Eagles Landing Christian Academy, First Presbyterian, Greenforest Christian, Paideia, SW Atlanta Christian, Strong Rock Christian, Tech Charter, W.D. Mohammed, Whitefield Academy and Yeshiva.

East Coweta and Newnan will both be in region 2-AAAAA with Luella, Langston Hughes, ML King, Newton, Stephenson and Westlake.
