Whitewater swim team places fifth in Wildcat Big Splash Invitational

Whitewater’s swim teams hosted the “Wildcat” Big Splash Invitational and competed against 17 other high schools. The boys placed third and the girls placed 10th, giving Whitewater a fifth place finish overall.

Top finishers for the boys were:

• Jaron Beckwith, 1st 200 IM with state cut 2:05.59, 2nd 100 Back with state cut 56.67

• Vishnu Iyengar, 5th 100 Breast

• Adam Lawrence, 2nd 500 Free

• Patrick Leoffler, 9th 50 free and 100 breast

• Ben Starkey, 2nd 100 Fly with state cut 57.53, 10th 100 back
• Alex Todd, 3rd 200 free, 4th 100 free

• Grant Yeager, 10th 200 freestyle

• Men 200 Medley Relay 2nd with state cut (J. Beckwith, P. Loeffler, B. Starkey, A. Todd)

• Men 200 Free Relay 2nd with state cut (A. Todd, V. Iyengar, J. Beckwith, P. Loeffler)

• Men 400 Free Relay 8th (A. Lawrence, G. Yeagar, S. Gittins, B. Starkey)
