McIntosh boys and Whitewater girls win region cross country titles
McIntosh’s boys won the 5-AAAA region championship at Clinton Farms in Western Douglas County on Saturday.
The Chiefs were followed by Starr’s Mill in fourth, Whitewater in fifth, Sandy Creek in sixth and Fayette County in 10th. Starr’s Mill’s Warren Enriquez was the region champion with a time of 16:16.70.
McIntosh had five of the top 11 runners on their way to capturing the title. They were:

Sandy Creek’s top five runners were:

Fayette County’s top five runners were:

Whitewater’s top five runners were:

Whitewater’s girls captured the region title with all five of their top five runners in the top 10. They were:

• Clessie Kendrick, 6, 20:23.90
• Emma Brodzik, 8, 20:37.40
• Mackenzie Nail, 9, 21:02.90
McIntosh placed second. The Lady Chiefs had the overall idividual region champion for the girls division with Danielle Gray with a time of 19:47.90. The other runners scoring points for McIntosh were

Starr’s Mill finished in third place. Their top five runners were:

Fayette County placed sixth overall. Their top runners were:

Sandy Creek placed seventh. Their top five runners were:

The region 5-A meet took place last Thursday. Our Lady of Mercy’s girls finished in first place and were followed by Landmark Christian. Landmark had the overall region champion in Lindy Long with a time of 19:39.21.

On the boys side, Our Lady of Mercy placed fourth and Landmark Christian placed sixth.
