One down, five to go for Whitewater softball

Whitewater’s varsity softball team faced Ola this morning and won 7-3, advancing the Lady Wildcats to a 3 p.m. game with Jones County in Columbus, assuming the weather holds.

Haley Richards had two doubles and a home run in the win, while Kaitlyn Johnson added an RBI with a double and a single and Mackenzie Toler had two singles and an RBI. Whitney Toler earned the win on the mound.
