East Coweta Indians (5-2, 4-2 region) at Morrow Mustangs (0-7, 0-6 region)

The Indians gave their playoff hopes a boost last week with a 25-17 win over Chapel Hill. They face a decidedly weaker Mustang team tonight. East Coweta has beat Morrow the last three years by a score of 154-28. Morrow has scored a total of 72 points this season and has allowed 244, while the Indians have scored 192 and allowed 107.

Newnan Cougars (7-0, 6-0 region) at Pebblebrook Falcons (5-2, 4-2 region)

Newnan took on Westlake last week in the Lions’ homecoming game and spoiled the party with a 20-0 win. It was the fourth shutout this season for the Cougar defense. It also marked the lowest point total of the season for the Newnan offense this year. Newnan is averaging 34.6 points per game on offense and allowing 4 points per game. Pebblebrook, which has losses to Creekside and East Coweta this season, is averaging 21 points per game and is allowing 16.1. Newnan won this game last year 35-0.

Northgate Vikings (3-4, 2-1 region) at McIntosh Chiefs

Northgate hosted Whitewater last week and won 23-14. The win marked the second in a row for Northgate, which is in the thick of the playoff hunt. McIntosh lost to Starr’s Mill 41-14 last week and has yet to win a region game this year. The Chiefs have scored more points this year (160 to Northgate’s 105) but they have also allowed more (206-157). Northgate leads the series 4-1. The Chiefs won in 2007 14-11, while Northgate won last year’s match 35-14.
