Area puts four teams in AAAA state volleyball's Elite Eight

Four of the Elite Eight in the Class AAAA state volleyball tournament are from area 3-AAAA.

Top seed Whitewater advanced with a win over Hardaway on Tuesday (25-9, 25-16, 25-22), while Sandy Creek topped Glynn Academy (19-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-15), Northgate beat Hillgrove (25-9, 25-12, 25-9) and Starr’s Mill defeated South Effingham (25-10, 25-12, 25-9).

All four teams will play at The Marist School this Saturday for a shot to go to the finals at Marietta High School next Saturday.
