Area volleyball tournament starts tonight at Northgate

If you are a fan of volleyball, there are some great matches early on in this tournament.

The host team, Northgate, will face Banneker at 6 p.m., while Whitewater meets Fayette County and Starr’s Mill and McIntosh square off at 5 p.m. Sandy Creek, the top seed, will take on the winner of Mays and Tri-Cities at 7 p.m. The loser of Mays and Tri-Cities will meet the loser of Starr's Mill and McIntosh at 7 p.m.

The tournament moves to Sandy Creek on Saturday with games in the loser bracket starting at 1 p.m. The championship match is set for 6:30 p.m.
