Iron Kids

Two Peachtree City boys finished first and second (out of 105) in the IronKids Triathlon in Alpharetta, Ga. on Sept. 14 in the 9 year old division. Nathan Price came in first, with a time of 27:03 and Bryce Smith was second, with a time of 27:18. They trained together in Peachtree City for a couple of months for the event. The distances for the race were swim 150 yards, bike four miles, and run one mile. Nathan and Bryce also came in first and second in the Peachtree City youth triathlon on June 6. There were 314 kids in the entire intermediate division (ages 9 through 11), and Nathan and Bryce came in sixth and eighth out of 314 in the intermediate division. There were 771 total kids in the triathlon ages 6 through 15. There were 105 9 year olds in the race, 65 boys and 40 girls. Photo/Special.
