Local teams do well at Whitewater meet, Chiefs win at Carrollton

Whitewater High School hosted the Decision Bridge meet at the Calvin Center in Hampton on Saturday.

The Our Lady of Mercy girls placed second behind Chapel Hill, while Whitewater took third, Starr’s Mill took fourth and Fayette County placed 10th.

The top five runners for Our Lady of Mercy were:
• Megan Malasarte, 1, 20:04.81
• Colleen Kelly, 17, 21:56.44
• Jessica Adams, 21, 22:16.52
• Yarahi Castillo, 24, 22:23.91
• Alexis Fagedes, 26, 22:25.51

Whitewater’s top five were:
• Haley Hunt, 6, 21:08.75
• Stacey Mangan, 7, 21:14.91
• Clessie Kendrick, 15, 21:45.25
• Holly McNorton, 32, 23:18.22
• Taylor Crans, 33, 23:28.75

Starr’s Mill’s top five runners were:
• Molly Musselwhite, 19, 22:14.46
• Sarah Lewis, 20, 22:16.17
• Emma Robbins, 30, 23:09.76
• Olivia Lewis, 31, 23:11.17
• Nicole Chrzanowski, 34, 23:29.89

Fayette County’s top five were:
• Sarah Schmidt, 23, 22:22.50
• Raven Moore, 43, 24:06.21
• Raeya Jaggarow, 52, 24:41.37
• Kyra King, 64, 25:08.82
• Rachel Shirey, 71, 25:45.62

On the boys side, Whitewater placed fifth, while Starr’s Mill took eighth and Fayette County took 15th.

• Sean Plunkett, 25, 18:03.67
• Jason Menko, 33, 18:32.94

Starr’s Mill’s top five were:

• Shawn McVicker, 41, 19:06.58

• Derrick Weeks, 46, 19:11.72

Fayette County’s top five were: •

McIntosh’s boys won the AAAA division of the Carrollton Orthopaedic Invitational. The top five runners for the Chiefs were:
• Carl Eifert, 2, 17:46.83
• John Janigan, 5, 18:02.60
• Matt Lein, 7, 18:17.50
• Nathan Reeves, 10, 18:24.21
• Artie McCarty, 17, 18:46.54

McIntosh’s girls placed fifth. Their top five runners were:

• Hannah Davidson, 22, 23:34.31
