The linemen’s camp at Georgia Southern University located in Statesboro was designed by football coaching legend Chris Hatcher, the head football coach at GSU.  Rance Gillespie, the offensive coordinator for GSU and director of the lineman’s camp utilizes all of the coaching staff from GSU to give the athletes one on one instruction on how to better their game.
Ruppert, listed as 5’11” and 190 pounds, spent the week running through intensive drills, learning aggressive defensive plays and working on offensive line techniques.  The GSU coaching staff and GSU team members worked Ruppert through rigorous routines just like the juniors and seniors attending the same training camp.

Although out sized at times, Ruppert held his ground even when going up against guys twice his size.   The coaching staff focused on individual strengths and capitalizing on the other players weaknesses providing the athletes with personal goals and highly set bar achievements to accomplish in the future.

Ruppert’s goal in attending the camp at GSU was to better himself as a player for his team and to better himself as an athlete by becoming a stronger player overall. He plays right tackle on the offensive line and nose guard on the defensive line.
