PTC Pirates compete in first swim meet of summer
By Tim Fuller
Special to The Citizen
As the summer is quickly passing us by, the Pirates had their first swim meet of the season. The swimmers were excited. The coaches were full of anticipation. The families were spirited. It was a wonderful swim meet for everyone.
There were two new records set last Thursday night at the meet: Caroline Cameron broke the 25 breast record and Courtney Bond broke the 50 fly record.
The coaches stated that everyone swam fantastically and the best is yet to come. Several swimmers swam personal best times and those should only get faster as the season moves forward.
The team also saw a lot of new swimmers in the pool swimming amazingly and having a lot of fun.
Fans of the Pirates are really excited to see what the rest of the season has to offer.
