11U South Metro Mustangs win 2009 IYBC Southeastern Championship

Fayetteville’s 11U South Metro Mustangs Basketball Team won the 2009 IYBC Southeastern Championship Tournament held recently in Norcross, GA. Having played in five AAU/YBOA Tournaments this year, the Mustangs improve their record to 9 and 9 on the season.

Spencer Weller and Cole Jones both posted a double/double in scoring and rebounding in the opening game to set the tempo for the tournament. Jordan Wright led the team with double digit scoring in the Championship game along with another strong performance, in the lane by Cole Jones, to seal the win for the Mustangs. It was an incredible effort on the part of everyone on the team.

The South Metro Mustangs Basketball Organization is part of the Advanced Program League of the Fayette County Youth Basketball Association.
