Landmark baseball back in state championship game after sweep in Savannah

By Michael Boylan - Posted on 27 May 2009

Landmark Christian School’s varsity baseball team didn’t storm through their schedule like last year’s squad did, but they find themselves in a familiar place.

The War Eagles swept Calvary Day in Savannah on Tuesday and have reached the Class A finals for the second straight year.

Landmark won the first game 13-3 and edged out the Cavaliers 7-6. More details on these games to come.

Landmark (24-8-1) will take on the Wesleyan Wolves (25-9) in the state final. The Wolves have won six games in a row. They defeated Brookstone 14-4 and 5-0 to reach the final. Wesleyan, located in Norcross, will host the games. Times have yet to be announced.
