Regular season ends for 5-AAAA baseball teams this week
Sandy Creek (16-5) has won five games in a row.
The Patriots beat McIntosh 11-3 on Friday and defeated Landmark Christian 10-6 on Monday. Driving in runs agains the Chiefs were Chris Triplett, Alex Green, Andrew Toles, Braxton Lane, Kris Bremer (3) and Matt Evans (2). Hunter Parrott earned the win, striking out eight batters. On Monday, the Patriots got RBIs from Lane (3), TJ Treat (2), Arthur Owens (2) and Hunter Parrott. Sandy Creek hosts Mays at 5:30 p.m. tonight and will host Northgate at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Starr’s Mill’s varsity baseball team snapped a three game losing streak with two straight wins. The Panthers beat Whitewater 12-6 last Friday and defeated Fayette County 7-3 on Monday. The final game of the regular season for Starr’s Mill is today against Douglas County at 5:30 p.m.
Whitewater snapped their two game losing streak with a 4-2 win over McIntosh on Monday. The Wildcats will host Lithia Springs today at 5:30 p.m.
Landmark Christian (12-5-1) played at Holy Innocents yesterday after the paper went to press and will play at Whitefield Academy on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
Our Lady of Mercy (4-13) hosted Pace Academy yesterday and will play at Walker tomorow at 5:30 p.m.
