Region wins for Coweta baseball teams

East Coweta’s varsity baseball team defeated Mundy’s Mill 17-0 in four innings on Monday.

Taylor Cato and Kevin Werner combined to throw a no-hitter, while the Indians produced 16 hits in the win. Cato, Jarius Rhodes, Felton James and Chandler Horton each had two hits. Cato drove in three runs, while Rhodes and Josh Shiver each drove in two.

Newnan defeated Westlake 4-1. Runs were driven in by Stephen Tarkenton, Zach Farmer, Marc Frazier and Josh Wallace. Garrett Smith struck out 14 Westlake batters in the win.

Northgate defeated Sandy Creek 12-2 on Monday. The Patriots made seven errors and the Vikings capitalized. Drew Tolbert drove in four runs, while Weston Perry and Tyler Marvin each drove in one.
