Region wins for Landmark and Sandy Creek teams

Landmark Christian School’s varsity baseball team (8-3-1) topped Holy Innocents in a region contest on Tuesday 3-2.

Tanner Bryant got the win, while the Wren brothers paced the offense. Kyle Wren went 4-for-4 and Colby Wren drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Sandy Creek (8-2) defeated Tri-Cities 11-0 on Wednesday in five innings. The Patriots scored nine runs in the first inning as Matt Evans pitched three innings for the win, striking out six batters. Travis Humber pitched the fourth and fifth innings and struck out three. Hunter Parrott was the leading hitter in the game with three hits.

Whitewater (7-2) lost to Alexander 6-5 on Wednesday. Miles Head had a solo home run in the loss for the Wildcats.

Our Lady of Mercy (4-7) lost to Pace Academy 12-2 on Tuesday.
