Chiefs, Bobcats and Sandy Creek boys and girls knocked out of playoffs

The results of the state basketball tournament were not so kind to local teams not named the Tigers.

In the class AAAA boys basketball tournament, McIntosh fell to Marist 55-37, while Sandy Creek lost to Miller Grove, 89-48. In the Class A tournament, Our Lady of Mercy lost to Darlington, 73-66.

On the girls side, Sandy Creek’s Lady Patriots fell to Marist, 46-29.
