Indian wrestlers win area 4-AAAAA, Coweta sends many to state sectionals

East Coweta won the region 4-AAAAA championship over the weekend, the school’s first.

Their state qualifiers were:
103 - Hart Buchanan, 2nd
112 - Hunter Buchanan, 2nd
119 - Brandon Johns, 4th
135 - Tommy Doolittle, 1st
145 - Aylante Pitts, 1st
152 - Blake Ginger, 2nd
171 - Joe Sherwood, 1st,
215 - Kenny Reeves, 3rd
275 - Benny Timpano, 3rd

Newnan placed third. Their qualifiers were:
112 - Zach Thompson, 1st
130 - Anthony Musac, 4th
135 - Lucas Malcolm, 3rd
140 - Caleb Spinks, 3rd
152 - Alec Nauris, 4th
275 - Chris Beno, 4th

Northgate had several wrestlers do well at the area 5-AAAA championships and qualify for a spot in this weekend’s state sectionals.
