Whitewater and McIntosh go 5-1 at Lovett Block Party
Whitewater’s varsity volleyball team went 5-1 in the Lovett Block Party, beating St. Pius X (25-16, 25-17), Kennesaw Mountain (25-7, 25-8), Roswell (25-13, 25-18), Johns Creek (25-11, 25-18) and Pope (25-7, 25-19) before losing to Woodward Academy (26-24, 18-25, 15-6).
McIntosh also went 5-1. The Lady Chiefs defeated Columbus, Lassiter (25-11, 25-17), Dunwoody, Lambert (25-10, 23-25, 15-11) and Roswell. Their loss was to Harrison (27-25, 25-23).
Sandy Creek went 3-3 losing to Lambert (20-25, 25-18, 15-9), Landmark Christian (26-29, 25-17, 15-11) and Westminster (20-25, 25-20, 15-4) before wins over De La Salle, La. (25-20, 25-19), Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (21-25, 25-13, 15-7) and Northgate (25-13, 25-13).
Landmark Christian went 2-3. They lost to Lassiter (27-25, 12-25, 15-8) before beating Sandy Creek. They lost to De La Salle, La., beat Westminster (23-25, 25-19, 15-13) and then lost to Woodward Academy (26-24, 25-23).
Starr’s Mill went 0-5 with losses to Johns Creek (25-17, 25-17), Lambert (25-18, 25-22), Pope (25-20, 25-15), Lovett (25-15, 25-21) and De La Salle, La.
