McIntosh boys and Whitewater girls win county cross country championships

McIntosh’s boys won the 2012 Fayette County cross country championship, while Starr’s Mill took second, Sandy Creek placed third, Our Lady of Mercy finished in fourth and Whitewater placed fifth.

McIntosh’s top five runners were: Brad Hort, 1, 16:21.52; Taylor Huntley, 2, 17:04.77; Andrew Jaeger, 5, 17:14.89; Artie McCarty, 8, 17:40.02 and Ian Murphy, 9, 17:42.32.

Starr’s Mill’s top five are Josh Warren, 3, 17:10.27; Ryan Phillips, 6, 17:25.15; Brad Robinson, 7, 17:34.31; James Adams, 15, 18:02.41 and Daniel Sims, 18, 18:19.55.

Sandy Creek’s top five were: Jamie Bigby, 4, 17:13.44; Dominick Chontos, 11, 17:46.18; Ryan Hamill, 14, 18:02.15; RJ Willis, 16, 18:05.57 and Brook Mulugeta, 17, 18:17.94.

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were: John Raville, 12, 17:47.97; Steven Johnston, 23, 18:41.26; Huy Trinh, 32, 19:17.82; Nile Freeman, 33, 19:18.07; Maddox Caporini, 36, 19:46.97

Whitewater’s top five were: Brandt Taylor, 26, 18:51.24; Michael Melatti, 30, 19:11.85; Jason Smith, 39, 19:58.48; Seamus Murrock, 40, 20:04.42 and Grant Stevens, 41, 20:07.64

Fayette County’s top five were: Max Anderson, 38, 19:52.84; Chris Jones, 43, 20:21.62; Lee Webb, 44, 20:24.51and Josh Shirey, 45, 20:36.39.

On the girls side, Whitewater won the county title, while McIntosh placed second, Starr’s Mill took third, Our Lady of Mercy placed fourth, Sandy Creek took fifth and Fayette County finished in sixth place.

Whitewater’s top five were: Mackenzie Nail, 2, 20:00.50; Claire Bohrer, 4, 20:58.76; Channing Thomas, 5, 21:09.76; Emma Brodzik, 6, 21:12.63 and Kyah Eglitis, 11, 21:52.05.

McIntosh’s top five were: Melanie Hamilt, 1, 19:38.84; Rachael Tierney, 3, 20:38.49; Nicole Kawahata, 7, 21:27.70; Haley Smith, 10, 21:48.19 and Meghan Plunkett, 13, 22:00.38.

Starr’s Mill’s top five were: Kendall Taylor, 8, 21:27.70; Lauren Phillips, 9, 21:35.91; Jasmin Zambrana, 19, 22:42.69; Faith Thompson, 21, 22:57.60 and Nicole Chrzanowski, 22, 22:58.69.

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were: Colleen Kelly, 18, 22:37.27; Meghan Lowther, 29, 23:22.33; Emma Dunphy, 30, 23:28.90; Tori Shurman, 34, 23:58.60 and Jamie Morgan, 38, 24:29.58.

Sandy Creek’s top five were: Hannah Hancock, 12, 21:53.00; Amber Ugbo, 28, 23:20.64; Meaghan McClain, 40, 24:33.66; Sydney Baker, 45, 24:58.22 and Sabrina Stevens, 49, 25:53.62.

Fayette County’s top five were: Shania Hall, 33, 23:51.73; Victoria Ward, 44, 24:56.90; Brook Heard, 47, 25:27.01; Sarika Reddy, 48, 25:35.04 and Savannah Walker, 51, 26:14.44
