McIntosh comes up short in loss to Pike County
McIntosh lost to Pike County 10-6 on the road in their season opener. Jake Turner stepped in for an injured Cam Porter at quarterback and was 9 of 13 for 153 yards passing with a touchdown pass to Robert Trotter (3 catches for 42 yards).
Matt Fergus added three catches, while Evan Hall and Tim Thornburg each had two. On defense, the Chiefs were led by Joe Trevena and Nick Enzor, both of whom had nine tackles, while Karod Strong recovered two fumbles. Dan Lenze averaged 42 yards a punt for McIntosh.
The Chiefs (0-1) will play at Dutchtown (1-0) on Friday. The Bulldogs beat Stockbridge 27-14 last Friday.
