Sandy Creek softball team shuts out Eagle's Landing

They might be a young team but they are getting a taste of what it takes to win and that gives head coach Lisa Pearce some hope.

The Lady Patriots (4-4, 2-1 region) bounced back from a 9-2 loss to Eastside and won 10-0 over Eagle’s Landing in five innings.

“Our starting nine played with good intensity,” Pearce said after the game, admitting there will be a learning curve as many of the players on the roster are freshmen.

Sandy Creek will face a big test on Thursday with a road game at Jackson (5:30 p.m.), a team expected to be at or near the top of the region.
