Golf tournament to raise money for RCR scholarship fund

On September 15, Restoration Community Resources (RCR) will hold its second annual scholarship fund golf tournament from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Historic Bobby Jones Golf Course 384 Woodward Way NW, Buckhead Atlanta. Registration includes a round of golf, cart fee, golf glove and bag, and lunch.
Starr's Mill tops McIntosh on golf course
Starr’s Mill’s boys and girls golf team defeated McIntosh on Monday. The boys won 150-161. The Panthers were led by Andrew Bourg (37), Dominic Spinosi (37), Chad Ring (38) and Kile Williams (38).
Chamber Business on the Green tournament a success
It was a beautiful day at Braelinn Golf Club for the Fayette Chamber’s annual Business on the Green Classic presented by The Southern Federal Credit Union. This tournament is an important yearly event, providing networking and visibility opportunities for members and raising funds to help the chamber continue its mission to strengthen the local business community.
Golf tournament to raise money for FCHS' band programs
Play golf, win prizes, and help more students enjoy the musical and social experiences of band.
The 13th annual Tiger Band Golf Tournament will take place May 12 at the Durham Lakes Golf and Country Club in Fairburn. Proceeds from the tournament will help pay for instruments and lower annual fees, ensuring that the maximum number of students possible can participate in the school’s band programs.
The day will feature a Hole-in-One contest for a 2012 Lexus, silent auction, awards for putting, longest drive, and closest to the pin.
HeroBox announces Fairways of Freedom Golf Tournament
Tee off for the troops! HeroBox has made it easy for everyone to get involved and support the troops by simply enjoying a day of golf. HeroBox will be hosting its first annual benefit golf tournament at Flat Creek Country Club this spring - April 23.
Registration is at 10 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 11:30 a.m.
Flat Creek ‘Niners’ Ladies Golf League prepares for the 2012 season
The Flat Creek “Niners” will hold its planning and organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at the Flat Creek Golf Club in Peachtree City. A continental breakfast will be served.
Golfers of all levels are welcome! However, beginners are encouraged to take at least three lessons with a golf pro prior to joining the league; this ensures comfort with the basics of grip, stance and swing.
League President, Sue Reed says, “When you join the ‘Niners’ you become part of a group of women who enjoy playing golf and have an opportunity to form lasting friendships.”
Kiwanis golf tournament set for Wednesday
On Wednesday, April 20 the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City will sponsor its 22nd Annual Spring Golf Tournament at Planterra Ridge Golf Club.

Line Creek Civitan golf tournament seeks players, sponsors
The 6th annual Civitan “Leave No One Behind” golf tournament, will take place Apr. 13 at 9 a.m. at Braelinn Golf Club. The tournament is seeking golfers, sponsors and donated items for goodie bags. The entry fee is $100 per player - four person teams. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, refreshments and post tournament lunch. There will be a chance to win $5,000 in the Hole in One international contest and auxiliary prizes on hole in ones on other par 3 holes.
Future pro?
Tyler Griffin, 2, could be a famous golfer one day. If he does, it won’t be a surprise as he comes from a family of talented athletes.
