Sandy Creek took on Starr’s Mill on Monday afternoon and won 6-0. It was the second straight game that the Panthers had been held to no runs.

FCHS' Newberry signs with Montreat

FCHS Tiger Softball player Candace Newberry signed a Letter of Intent to attend Montreat College in Montreat, NC. Candace has been a four year member of the FCHS Softball program playing pitcher and 3rd base. Candace was named the FCHS MVP for the past two seasons (2008 and 2009). As a pitcher she led the Tigers in wins each of her four seasons. Candace also played travel ball with the PTC Elite, GA Impact, and Atlanta Vipers programs.

Soccer teams earn more region wins this week

Starr’s Mill’s varsity boys soccer team (4-0-1) picked up two more wins this week, defeating East Coweta 4-1 on Wednesday and beating Lithia Springs 4-2 on Thursday.
