Georgia All State cheerleaders announced
Kayla Maxwell and Katie Strickland of Whitewater High School and Ali Church of McIntosh High School were recently selected as an All-State cheerleader at the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches’ Association competition held at Columbus State University on Aug. 14.

The Our Lady of Mercy High School varsity cheerleaders recently returned from cheerleading camp. The camp was held at Emory University and was administered by the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA). The team received first place for their home dance routine that the team prepared prior to the camp. The team received second place in the cheer division of the camp championships and the spirit stick.
Whitewater cheerleader makes Georgia All-State Cheerleaders squad
Catherine “Peep” Trammell of Whitewater High School was recently selected as an All-State cheerleader at the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches’ Association competition held at Columbus State University on Aug. 15.
FCHS cheerleaders win coveted leadership award
The Fayette County High School varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders recently returned from cheerleading camp. The camp, with over 800 participants from all over the state, was held at the University of Georgia in Athens and was administered by The Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA).
McIntosh cheerleaders work with Packer cheerleaders
Volunteers from McIntosh High School’s Varsity and Junior Varsity Football cheerleading teams donated a weekend of spirit and hard work to at the Peachtree City Packer Cheerleading camp.
The four volunteers taught their younger counterparts cheer technique, stunting and what it means to be positive roll models.
Gymnasts from TaylorMade Tumbling and Cheer do well
Keelin Camp and Hannah Schaefer were two gymnasts representing TaylorMade Tumbling & Cheer of Tyrone this past Saturday at the USAG Level 4 State Meet in Tifton.
Scores were as follows:
Vault- Keelin Camp 8.9; Hannah Schaefer 9.050
Bars- Keelin Camp 9.175 (8th Place); Hannah Schaefer 9.050
Balance Beam- Keelin Camp 7.7; Hannah Schaefer 8.050
Floor- Keelin Camp 8.5; Hannah Schaefer 8.1
All-Around- Keelin Camp 34.275; Hannah Schaefer 34.25
Northgate takes home second straight state title
The tradition of winning continues.
The Northgate High School varsity cheerleading team won their second consecutive Class AAAA state title recently. Once again, the Lady Vikings were followed by teams from their region with Starr’s Mill placing second and Whitewater placed third.

The Starr’s Mill High School Varsity Cheerleading Team was the runner-up State Champion in the AAAA Division Georgia State Cheerleading Finals held in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 8.
