The Lakers are the Fayette County Youth Basketball Association's 2009/2010 - 10U League Champions.

Lady Tigers eliminated again by SW DeKalb

For the third year in a row, the Southwest DeKalb Lady Panthers have ended the Fayette County Lady Tigers season with a loss.

Three local teams make state basketball playoffs

The final day of the region 5-AAAA tournament was a good day for McIntosh and not so good for Fayette County’s boys and girls.

It was a special night for the Fayette County Lady Tigers, in more ways than one, but McIntosh’s girls and Fayette County’s boys would like to put it in the past.

“This game (the second round region tournament playoff game) is always the hardest,” said Fayette County head boys basketball coach Andre Flynn after his Tigers narrowly avoided an upset to the Starr’s Mill Panthers.
