Basketball teams trying to keep hot streaks going

DSC_0010.JPGThe region basketball tournaments are not that far away and every sub-region and region win can help a team’s seeding. For some teams, like Fayette County's Lady Tiger, each game could have a big impact on defending their AAAA state title.

McIntosh swimmers win Clayton County Winter Invitational

SwimmingMcIntosh High School Swim Team took 1st place overall of 17 high schools in Clayton County’s Winter Invitational on January 14th.  Starr’s Mill High School finished 2nd, Whitewater High School finished 4th, Our Lady of Mercy finished 7th, and Fayette County High School finished 15th in the meet. 

McIntosh swimmers who placed in the top 5 were:

Boys 200 Yd Medley Relay: 1st, Machmehl, Novelly, Chang, Koellner

Girls 200 Yd Medley Relay: 1st, Schmid, Smith, Bond, Barrett

Boys 200 Yd Freestyle:  4th, Theo Lefebvre

Girls 200 Yd Freestyle:  2nd, Claren Anderson

Whitewater wrestlers place third in AAAA state duals

WrestlingThe Whitewater Wildcats took 3rd place in the State Duals Championships in Macon, Ga. last weekend. The #4 seeded Wildcats were perfect on Friday winning 59-15 over Northside Warner-Robins and then winning the quarter finals match against Cass in a nail biter, 28-26.

Whitewater continues strong season with win at area duals, Fayette takes 4th

WrestlingThe Whitewater Wildcats varsity wrestling team won the Area 3-AAAA area duals last weekend.

McIntosh takes third in meet at Clayton pool

SwimmingMcIntosh High School Swim Team placed 3rd overall of 19 high schools in the Clayton County’s “Comin’ to Town” Invitational on January 7.

Mercy launching youth football league - meeting Tuesday

FootballThe Our Lady of Mercy Bobcat Youth League is launching this year and there will be an informative meeting for parents and players in grades 4-8 Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mercy Auditorium.
